Wedding Wednesdays: Engagement Rings!

Until we started looking at engagement rings, I had no idea how many different options there were! I never really pictured what mine would look like and I actually ended up changing my setting before the wedding. Here are a few of the beautiful sparkly options...but really there are SO many more not shown here!
Here we have a round center stone with channel set diamonds in the band (by: ArtCarved)
A trend that is somewhat popular is using multi-color stones (by: Leigh Jay Nacht)
In terms of side stones, there are one side stone on either side, seen on this one (by: Mark Schneider Design)
Or this one with two side stones on either side (by: ArtCarved) Another option is to have pave diamonds around the band; seen here (by: Ritani)This one I found struck me as very unique with it's swirly patterns (by Vanna K)
Another widely popular option is a vintage style ring (by: Timeless Designs)

And, of course, the ever classic...solitaire (by: ArtCarved)What I have for MY ring...Emerald cut center stone with diamonds on the band, pave style
What kind of setting do you have? Was it what you always wanted? Did your fiance/husband pick it out himself?

Love your ring! I have an emerald cut as well and I love it! I may have hinted (basically told) around what I wanted...that's the best way to do it! ;)

Your ring is so beautiful and dainty..does it ever get caught on anything? My other fav here is the Vanna K swirly ring.

6 months before he proposed we went "browsing"..basically told him I preferred to have either white gold or platinum and a solitaire. He and his dad went to a local jewelers and he ended up picking up the diamond and the setting all by himself and put together a beautiful solitaire, round stone with 4 prong setting. I couldnt ask for anything more beautiful :-)

Can you do a post regarding the task of picking out bands to go with e-rings? :-) It's going to be hard task!

Your ring is beautiful!

I have a 1.5K solitaire. My wedding band is an eternity band. I love it. I helped him pick it out.

Your ring is so pretty.

My engagement ring is my grandmothers's solitaire as my center stone (round, brilliant) with a smaller round brilliant on either side & then smaller diamonds channel set. My band is a channel set band.

I love them!

Your ring is gorgeous! My hubby picked out my ring all by himself. I was impreseed. Mine is a round cut center stone that was his grandmothers diamond with 3 round diamonds on each side. My band had 7 round cut diamonds. He did a great job and I love it :)

I'm a halo girl myself, but if I went solitaire, it totally would have been emerald cut. My old coworker had one and I was obsessed with it. Yours is BEAUTIFUL!

Ok and really... this was such ring porn! I think I love most rings!!!

LOVE them all! I still love looking at engagement rings, even after being married for 5 yrs! My mister picked mine out ALL by himself. He knew a bit what I liked, but went out and did it on his own and I LOVE it. Princess cut, platinum with two tiny diamonds on each side. He done good :)

I specifically have started LOVING the vintage ones with the diamonds around the main stones. BEAUTY. Have a great day girlie!

I have a round soliatare and I love it. I do love all the other ones as well, but it is just classic. I do want a huge amethyst with alot of diamonds and I would wear it like an engagement ring. My hubby could have gotten by with buying me a semi-precious stone rather than a diamond!

Love rings and LOVE yours!

I have a round tiffany set diamond with 3 diamonds on either side. My band has diamonds and bends just a bit under the engagement ring.
I initially had a band that was made to fit the ring, but we changed last minute because I wanted to make sure my band didn't look weird by itself.

I always thought I wanted an emerald cut, they are so classy looking, but when I found this one, I knew it was it. Plus it cost half of what our budget was! Yes, I picked it out. People always ask me if it's an antique, it's not, but I love that it looks that way. It's timeless and definitely something I'll want to hand down to future generations.

I like the classic solitaire! I'm a traditional girl at heart....

My ring originally belonged to my Gram...Gramps bought it in 1954 for $150! I knew that eventually I would get the ring, but my Gram surprised me by giving it to Marmot, and he proposed to me with it!

I love this post - I love diamonds period. haha :)

My ring is oval, kind of a little different but i hear it's making a comeback. It was a lot more popular in like the 40s and 50s i think.

I really like a classic solitaire because I am pretty traditional, but just wanted something a teeny bit different, even though I like traditional. Also, i have long fingers, so a longer cut seemed like the perfect fit. Plus, its what my mom has!

He picked it out. I think i sorta hinted that I liked oval... but we never discussed it in detail.

Now i have to pick out my wedding band. to match the engagement band or not to match, that is the question.

They are all stunning. I got a gold one when I got married 11 years ago but if I got engaged again I would definitely go for the white gold.
