Weekend Recap :)

Friday night, Batman and I headed to Rhode Island for the weekend...
We went to my Dad's house, had some pizza and watched some Jeff Dunham on TV (hilarious)
Batman climbed all over the couch, antagonizing Misty, my Dad's black lab.
Saturday, Batman stayed @ Grandma's while I got my eyebrows threaded, went to the post office to send off Lindsey's winnings, got the Brazilian Blowout (again! LOVE this for the summer!) and then headed over to see Jess and Cory's new house! They just closed on Wednesday so it was so fun to get to see it just a few days after it was officially theirs!
Saturday afternoon we headed to my cousin's birthday party and then at night did some shopping (for new outfits for church the next day) and watched the movie "Brothers".

Quick review: GOOD movie, lots of suspense (and eye candy) but weird ending that left you thinking "That can't be the end".

Sunday...well Sunday morning I have one of "those" stories. First thing, Batman wakes up at 5:30 and wants to play. There is NO way he's going back to sleep. Ugh. Around 7 I have some coffee, read the paper and then decide to get dressed for church. I go downstairs to get my new white capris only to find they have a quarter size hole in the behind area! Ahhh! Luckily I got the capris in black too so I put those on (after a short pout). I go upstairs and of course Batman decides to jump all over me (Black capris, jumping white dog...do the math) I'm covered in his hair (which is our fault for not brushing him enough). I do the lint brush on my pants and then decide to go get him a treat so that he stops bothering me. My mom keeps the treats in the garage, so I go out there with Batman at my feet and Oops! The garage door is wide open! Normally Batman's pretty good about this but he spotted a squirrel on the grass and took off! I go to chase him in my sandals and trip & fall on the driveway; scuffing up my new capris and cutting open my hand! Haha I'm like "Seriously!?" ...After that, I was able to get Batman (who didn't run far, just futzed around the front yard) and then proceed to church...

The rest of the day was pretty non eventful (compared to the morning that is haha) We did church then coffee @ my aunt's then Batman and I hit the road. We were home back in CT around 1:00.

Edited to add: Since I've had a few questions about it, I figured I'd tell you all a little bit about the Brazilian Blowout!
It's a treatment done to your hair that helps eliminate frizz and smooth & straighten your hair!
With long thick hair like mine, the process takes about 2 hours... It lasts me 3-4 months, closer to 4. Even when it runs out though, I find my hair is much more manageable and easier to straighten!
