Birthday Weekend Re-cap!

Friday night I went home to my Mom's in RI with Batman while Jay DJed. My brother came over with my nephpup, Maddox, and 'the boys' played while we all had dinner.
We got them to slow down for about 30 seconds to take this picture:
After dinner, my mom gave me my last name letter frame! I seriously LOVE this! (Want one? The fabulous Katie happens to be giving one away this week! Check it out here.)
My aunt and cousin came by later and made me these Easter/Birthday cookies! These things are my fave :) Don't go perfectly with the diet; but hey, it was birthday weekend.
Saturday morning, another present! (P.S. I love birthday weekend)
Saturday afternoon, Jay came up and him, Dave and myself did some karaoke in the afternoon (My parents have it in the basement).

Batman is ALWAYS hanging out in the kitchen @ Grandma's...He's not dumb; he knows where the food is made!
Saturday night, my Dad and Sue brought us to the Melting Pot for my birthday dinner. If you've never been, you seriously HAVE to experience it! If you haven't been, I happened to document it all for you :)

So, it started off with the cheese fondues. (Which they cook AT your table, by the way).

We got the Wisconsin Trio Cheese fondue (made with fintina, butterkase and buttermilk bleu chesses),
as well as the Fiesta Cheese fondue (made with cheddar cheese, salsa and jalapeno peppers).
Served with the cheese fondues are: breads, vegetables, tortilla chips and green apples.
Next up the salad course. Here's Jay salad (the 'lettuce wraps'); while I had the Melting Pot House Salad (delish!)
Each person at the table gets their own colored skewers to distinguish your food from the others. I had the pink skewers!
Next up are the entrees. They were cooked in a Court Bouillon.
We ordered the Fondue Feast (consisting of sirloin, pork, tuna, chicken, shrimp, vegetable dumplings, vegetables and potatoes).
Now for the good stuff; dessert! We picked 2 chocolate fondue flavors: Milk chocolate and Baileys and Smores! Served with the chocolate fondues are: strawberries, bananas, graham crackers, rice krispie treats, marshmallows, cheesecake, brownies and pound cake! Seriously! Wow!
After the Melting Pot, we headed to Dave & Buster's in the mall to get some playtime in! We played LOTS of games and won a decent amount of tickets. With my winnings, I got...

Hannah Montana lip gloss! (LOL; there was not that much of a selection!)
Sunday morning (my actual birthday) I had a candle in a donut. Batman helped me blow it out :)

Sunday afternoon, it was my great-uncle's 70th birthday party. Here are the birthday semi-twins (his is the 29th)

Birthday Gifts!

Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes! I didn't have a chance to write back to everyone since it was kind of a crazy busy weekend but I did appreciate all of your messages!
I thought it'd be fun if I showed you all what I got for my birthday this weekend, sound cool?

From my Mem, I got this beautiful Anne Klein watch from Macy's; perfect for the weekends.Meg sent me a package that arrived this weekend (Thanks Meg!)
It had a Baekgaard Travel wallet that will be so perfect for when I travel (pictured is not the exact one but it's close!). It's a darker green color and doesn't say "passport" on it.She also got me a Vera Bradley sunglasses case!
My Mom got me body wash, lotion and body mist from the new Vicky's line: At First Sight & a Vicky's gift card.
She also made me this; I've always wanted one of these! (Sorry for the crappy picture; it was with the 'berry; I'll take a better one later this week!) She also promised we'd go shopping for some clothes when I get to my goal weight - score!
At the end of work last week, Jill gave me a fun birthday package too! (So sweet; thanks future Mama!)
She got me this awesomely fruity/summery body mist from Vicky's; it gets me so excited for the nicer weather to start!She also got me these new sparkly white flip flops! (Something one has to replace every summer!) Perfect!My dad (who also said we could go clothes shopping when I'm ready!) got me a couple of Starbucks giftcards, dinner @ The Melting Pot and a night of fun @ Dave and Buster's (full recap from Saturday night to come tomorrow hopefully!)
My brother and SIL got me this new body wash from Bath & Body Works; it's called Sweet Fig & Argan and a Dunkin Donuts gift card!
What a lucky girl I am! Thanks everyone! Hey, maybe 26 is not going to be so bad after all ;)

Same year, with my brother, blowing out the candles...we've always had a joint family birthday party (his birthday is 9 days after mine)1988 (4th) - At Papa Gino's (They throw a GREAT party; let you make the pizza and everything!) I'm on the left in the blue dress and yellow sweater
1990 (6th) - At Chuck E' Cheese's! (Where a kid can be a kid!) That's me really close to Chuck's behind...yikes
1991 (7th) - In the backyard on the swingset! I'm on the slide, 2nd from the bottom, sticking my head out to the right

Mine is: Modern Family!Seriously, I CRY from laughing so hard when watching this show! My first favorite character by FAR is Phil (the dad of the 3 children for those who don't watch it) and my second favorite character is Cameron (the one on the far right).
