Saturday morning Batman & I went to my Mom’s for breakfast while my Mom went to my cousin’s house to get their hand-me-down baby gear!
She showed me the little animals she bought as part of the centerpieces for my shower. They are little lambs with blue ties!
Batman was chilling in the nursery recliner while we looked through everything:
Most of the things we got (pack n play, strollers, car seats) will stay at my Mom’s but this beauty I couldn’t resist. Their beautiful bassinet used for their 2 little boys will now be for our little guy!
We had to do a few errands and some grocery shopping and while at Sam’s Club we bumped into some (ridiculously cheap) baby outfits. She bought a few “grandma” items to keep at her house (she’ll be babysitting 2 days a week) and then bought this one for me:
And check out this super cute Valentine's card I came home to! Thanks, Auntie B xo
Saturday night I went to Backroad Grille with my Dad, stepmom & stepbrother for a quiet pre-Valentine's Day dinner then back to their house to watch a movie. This time we watched the Social Network - I had been wanting to see this for so long! Personally, I really liked it!
Sunday was a day for working on the bathroom and cleaning the construction zones. When Jay came home from Connecticut, he had a delivery for me. It was from our unborn son - the thoughtful little guy got me Valentine's Day flowers! They are HOT pink and I LOVE them.
Sunday night we had a family dinner @ my Mom's house; it was delish!
Finally, Monday was (duh!) Valentine's Day! Well I lucked out in the V-Day department this year...
Our plan was dinner reservations @ Chardonnay's Monday night. My general rules are: 1) Always get me a card on big holidays (And I do the same for him) and 2) Valentine's Day is a holiday for girls (Not to be rude, that's just the way my Dad taught me!) Well, I got the card, but there was more and boy did it shock the heck out of me!
He surprised me by earlier in the day bringing a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne to the restaurant and having it waiting at our table for us. WOW nicely done, friend :)
Our HUGE buffalo chicken nachos appetizer
And then he whipped out a little blue box! I was Shocked! He got me the mesh ring from Tiffany's that I've ALWAYS wanted - I mean I've wanted this for a solid 5 years. I'm a lucky lucky girl.
We had a wonderful dinner and then came home to our little furball to take a family picture. I think I may have had some nacho cheese left on my lip because Batman wouldn't stop licking my face!
