Why do the weekends always seem to go by so fast?! At least we had some beautiful weather this weekend! We even brought the patio furniture out of storage to catch a few rays on Saturday afternoon!
Saturday morning, Jay’s parents came up so they could see the nursery and we went out to lunch to celebrate my birthday (a week from yesterday – yay!)
Saturday night we had a housewarming party for the Almeida’s; we LOVE that they live a 1/2 mile away from us!
Their beautiful dining room all set up:
The guys & the gals
Opening their gifts from us; Welcome to Bristol-themed!
We began the celebration of Cory’s birthday with cake and zeppoles (it WAS St. Joseph’s Day after all!).
We also realized that there were FIVE March birthdays (in a group of maybe 12 people?) so we thought we should all take a picture together holding up our dates!
With the tournament on, as you can imagine it turned into all of the guys being glued in front of the TV and the girls positioned around the snacks and wine talking about weddings and babies!
What a fun night!
Sunday, we headed BACK to the Almeida’s to celebrate the man of the house’s birthday.
Sunday night I headed off to the ultimate “girls night” – a makeup party! It was held by the fabulous Kristin Greene of Simply Beautiful.
(She did my wedding makeup)
I learned a LOT like how you should NOT be using those little eyeshadow foam sponges that come with eye shadow and you should be using proper makeup brushes. Also, do not apply moisturizer right before putting on your foundation. That’s why it doesn’t stay on! But more importantly, it was fun to have some time for girl talk with a great group of ladies.
Hope you had a fabulous weekend ![]()

I feel like whenever I use moisturizer it just makes me sweat. YUCK. That's why I never use it and I know that's awful...
