Jack’s Baptism

A couple of weekends ago, Jack was baptized. It was a (rainy but) beautiful day that we shared with all of our family.

He was so good throughout the whole mass and even during the baptism after mass. The priest said he was “One in a thousand”… not too shabby huh?

After my first week back at work, I am SO looking forward to just RELAXING this weekend! We've had a real busy last couple of weekends, so I'm looking forward to some chill time with the family :)

Name News

I've been waiting to write this post until we talked to our family and close friends. But now that the word is out... We've had a name change!

Meet Jack (short for Jackson)

Due to some New England dialect/pronunciation issues, we came to the difficult conclusion to rename "Cotta" to Jack. And now you know :)

Edited to add: Dear Anonymous, if you don't have the courage to identify yourself, why on earth should we listen to anything you have to say?

To any of my loyal followers that felt the same way, let me clear a few things up for you. First off, by no means was "non-chalance" involved when making this change. This is something we struggled with for weeks before deciding. One should know that true emotion is rarely displayed on the Internet.

Secondly, to not change ones name because of monogrammed items is just plain silly. What happens when you get married? All of your gold-threaded "anonymous" towels would be tossed aside.

Finally, and most importantly, by no means are we hurting (or even affecting) our son at this time. Babies do not even begin to hear and recognize their names until at least 5 months old, certainly not half that. Sure we will tell him when he is much older but by no means if he suffering an identity crisis right now.
