Weekend Recap Part 1: Lilly’s Party!

The first part of our busy weekend was Lilly’s 2nd birthday party on Saturday! The kiddos had so much fun playing on the swingset and in the sandbox; I didn’t even realize Jack had enjoyed playing in a sandbox so much! We don’t have one; but I think he’s played in one at school…

What 2 year old doesn’t like Elmo? So he flanked the cake as well as the cupcakes… They were a BIG hit with Jack!

Weekend Plans

This weekend is the first busy weekend of quite a few we have coming up. (And actually, this trend will probably continue on through the summer!)

Tomorrow, we have this little girl’s 2nd birthday party. She was born 2 days after Jack, I met her Mama at Baby Yoga when they were just 2 months old and they’ve been BFF’s ever since!

On Sunday, Jameson is getting baptized!

Afterwards, we are having the godparents and grandparents over our house for a small luncheon.

Sunday is also JACK’S 2nd BIRTHDAY! I really can’t believe it. We’ll have a cake for him before lunch/his nap and then give him his birthday present once he’s up from his nap… Here’s what we got him:

Also this week, we’ve done some “car shopping”! We ended up with the Cadillac (for Jack’s 2nd birthday on Sunday!)

Oh and one more thing! Have you heard of Viggle? I LOVE this App; especially now that I’m home on maternity leave… You “check in” to a TV show, get points and then can redeem those points for rewards! I just got a Starbucks GC today – pretty sweet!

Mother’s Day Fun

It was a BEAUTIFUL day around here (after POURING all day on Saturday!) and we were happy to be celebrating the day outside!

While we were still at home, I attempted to get a picture with each of the boys… This is the best we got…

And here’s Jack’s along with a picture from our First Mother’s Day together last year.

The boys gave me their gifts; 2 beautiful and unique Alex & Ani bracelets! I ended up wearing the gold and brown one all day (they didn’t go together well enough to wear them both!)

In the afternoon we visited my Mom (and I’m kicking myself for not taking a picture with her!). We made burgers on the grill and chowed down on some desserts from Starbucks!

After we ate, Jack got a bath and just played around until we went home. He took a break from the trucks, though, to come hold little brother’s hand… My heart.

Mother’s Day Weekend

Happy Mother’s Day to all my wonderful blogger friend Mom’s out there! I hope you have relaxing weekends with your kiddos. Who am I kidding; that doesn’t exist… My wish for you? To be able to enjoy (at least) one meal on time/when you are hungry, while sitting down, that is still hot (or whatever the appropriate temperature is!).

This weekend (and every day) I’m thankful to my Mom for all that she does and to these two pretty wonderful boys that made me “Mom”.

Jameson’s Newborn Photoshoot

When Baby Jamie was just 8 days old, we bundled him up and trekked out in a snowstorm to have his newborn photos taken; we’re serious about our photoshoots around here! I couldn’t be more thrilled with how they came out and am excited to share them with you today. The lovely Tracy of Elan Studios gets all of the credit. She is truly amazing and I am so grateful to her for capturing these precious photos.

He’s Here!

Well, he was here 10 weeks ago! I’m ecstatic to announce the news of our newest family member. Jameson Jay was born on February 28 at 12:40 pm via planned c-section. He weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs 6 oz; measuring 21 inches long (And no! No one TOLD me he was going to be that big! When the doctors took him out, all I heard from behind the curtain was grumblings of “look at those cheeks”, “that head”, “this is one big baby”!)

Our family is complete, our hearts are full and everything feels right. As anticipated, Jack has stepped into the role of big brother quite nicely. He loves to rub Jamie’s head, give him “high fives” and he’s the first thing he asks about when he comes running through the door each afternoon.

However, life with two under 2 has been quite hectic. And for that, I apologize for not sharing the news sooner. I’m happy to be sharing it now and thrilled to be back on the blog!
